Trade School and Skills training

Participants are trained in the art of professional flooring installation, including terrazzo and ceramic tile. They learn everything from surface preparation and layout to cutting, finishing, and sealing — mastering both precision and creativity.

In our on-site wood shop, men develop woodworking skills while creating tables, furniture, and other custom pieces. This training cultivates creativity, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Our painting program teaches the techniques and discipline required for both interior and exterior painting. From prep work and color matching to finishing and cleanup, participants gain professional-level experience.

Through A Better Way Movers, men gain valuable experience in logistics and teamwork. Training includes proper loading techniques, truck safety, and customer service — developing strength, discipline, and reliability.

In our mechanic shop, participants learn basic automotive maintenance and repair — from oil changes and tire rotations to diagnostics and engine work. This training provides a foundation for future employment in the automotive field.

Qualified participants have the opportunity to pursue their Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), opening doors to stable, in-demand careers in transportation and logistics.

Our Thrift Store Training program teaches the fundamentals of retail — including stocking, rotating merchandise, organizing displays, assisting customers, and maintaining inventory. Participants learn valuable skills in sales, service, and day-to-day business operations.
